The PP Catalog is used to unlock things by spending PP. PP can be earned though to Story, Duel Colosseum, and even Multiplayer. Even losing a battle in one of these modes still results in gaining PP.

PP can be used to unlock:

• Characters
• Alternative Costumes
• Voice Clips
• Arenas to Fight in (for Multiplayer)
• Level Caps for CPU (again for Multiplayer)
• Bonus Boosts for the Calendar
• Icons to be used for Multiplayer Avatars
• Background music
